In 2007, UK based singer songwriter Jamie Woon put out a cover of a song called “Wayfaring Stranger.” He then spent the next four years meticulously writing, recording, and producing his debut album, titled Mirrorwriting, which was just recently released on April 4th. I just heard a few of Jamie's tracks for the first time and I'm really digging them. His sound is a mix of r&b, soul, and hints of dubstep. It's really mellow, sincere music.

This tune is called Lady Luck. Oh man, it just grabs you right from the beginning. Jamie's smooth voice shines here. Check it out.

Here's some more of his tunes.

  1. Very impressive and unique voice. Wayfaring Stranger sounds like it comes from Gospel roots.
