Sia is a contemporary Australian singer. She has often collaborated with Zero 7, making classic downtempo singles such as "Destiny", "Somersault", and "Distraction", just to name a few. Aside from these collaborations, she is also an accomplished solo artist. On her 2004 album, Colour The Small One, appeared the beautiful single "Breathe Me." Since then, many remixes and re-interpretations of the song have been created, spanning a bunch of different genres. It's very interesting to see how versatile "Breathe Me" has proved to be, appearing in remixes that can be categorized as downtempo, house, trip hop, and even dubstep. Check out the original and a few of our favorite remixes.

Sia - Breathe Me
Here's the original version of Sia's "Breathe Me," featuring a haunting and beautiful vocal. It was featured on the finale of HBO show "Six Feet Under".

Sia - Breathe Me (Ulrich Schnauss Remix)
This remix comes from German producer Ulrich Schnauss, who is mostly known for his complex electronic sound. In this remix, Schnauss does not stray far from the original, but makes it refreshingly his own with a catchy, and uplifting beat.

Sia - Breathe Me (Four Tet Remix)
Electronic music producer Kieran Hebden, a.k.a. Four Tet, produced this remix version of "Breathe Me," which is clearly his own. The swooping percussion and drum set are likely the most innovative and interesting additions to the song Hebden has chosen.

Sia - Breathe Me (Butch Clancy Remix)
Butch Clancy, with his remix, takes the song to a genre Sia would likely not have envisioned: dubstep. As opposed to using excessive and deep thudding bass, Clancy uses the bass sparingly, and respectfully. This remix is perhaps the farthest from the original in terms of instruments used, but it might also be the most interesting remix because of the distance Clancy has taken it from the original.

Which remix of Sia's "Breathe Me" do you like the most? Or do you prefer the original? Let us know in the comments section below!
